The Gibralfaro Castle is a must see when you come to Malaga, Spain. The castle is located just next to La Alcazaba and is connected through the ducts of several towers. The site of the castle was home to a lighthouse originally. The castle was built in the 14th century.

Pablo Ruiz Picasso was born in Malaga, Spain, in 1881. The early years of Picasso's life can be linked to Malaga. Malaga celebrates Picasso as the most famous native.

Another site that is a must see in Malaga is the cathedral. The Cathedral was built in 1528, after capturing Malaga from the Moors. It was built on the site of the former mosque, which was dismantled when the Moors lost control of Malaga. It took awhile to completely construct the cathedral. It was not completed until 1782. When you visit the cathedral you will notice the different architectural styles resulting over the years of construction.

There are two historical and beautiful churches in Malaga. The Sagrario church, built in the 15th century, and displays a gothic style. The Santiago church, built in the 16th century, and is a mixture of Gothic and Arab style. The Santiago church is many baptisms took place, including Picasso's baptism.

The town hall of Malaga was built around 1915 and is another interesting tourist location. It is one of the most distinguished building built in modern times in Malaga.
